Fair Usage Policy

Monthly and daily volume

Larger limits are available by written agreement. Contact us if your workflow needs more.

• 1,000,000 contact credits a month per account, across search, export, and enrichment.
• 250,000 contact credits a day on search, export, and enrichment.
• Exports count against the day and the month. One export delivers up to 50,000 rows.

What counts as a row

Count, facets, schema, and values are free. They do not count toward any limit.

• Rows returned by search count.
• Rows exported count when the export completes.
• Enrichment matches count.
• The same row delivered twice counts twice. There is no deduplication across calls.

When you reach a cap

The API returns 402 with the code contact_credits.exhausted. The error persists until the UTC day or month resets. On the free plan the contact credits are a lifetime pool, so the error does not clear: upgrade the plan for more contact credits.

Reaching a cap does not itself suspend your account.

Request rate

300 requests a minute per key (5 a second), with a short burst allowance, on the API and the MCP server. Rate-limited requests return 429. Retry with backoff.

Cheap routes (schema, values, account, export status) count toward the 300. They never count toward the query guardrails below.

Query guardrails

• 10 seconds a query.
• 4 concurrent queries per key.
• 60 queries a minute per key.

Search page sizes

• REST search returns 50 rows by default and up to 500 rows a page, with cursor paging.
• MCP search returns 50 rows by default and up to 500 rows a call.

Exports

• Formats: CSV or JSONL, gzipped.
• Each export can be up to 50,000 rows, within your monthly volume.
• One running export per account. Wait for it to complete before you start another.
• The file and the signed download URL live 7 days from the time the export completes. We then delete the file.

Acceptable use

Your plan provides search, enrichment, and export access for your own business purposes. It does not grant permission to extract and redistribute the database.

Outbound campaigns, CRM enrichment, agency client work, and internal tools are permitted uses.

• Do not sell or redistribute contacts as a dataset, and do not use exports to build a competing data product.
• Do not extract the full database or large portions outside ordinary search and export workflows.
• Do not share credentials or account access across unrelated organizations.
• Follow the data protection and marketing laws that apply to your outreach, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, UK PECR, TCPA, and Do-Not-Call rules. You are responsible for compliant use.

Enforcement

Repeated evasion, credential sharing, or distributed scraping may lead to throttling or account review.

If a limit blocks legitimate work, contact support before you attempt a workaround.

Changes

We may revise these limits as the service grows. Material changes appear here and are communicated directly when they affect your account.
