Build a prospect list in Claude

To build a prospect list in Claude, add LeadMCP as a custom connector and ask for the people you want in plain words. Claude counts the market for free, then brings back contacts with work emails and phone numbers. For a large list, Claude starts an export and gives you a CSV download link.

01 Connect

Connect in 2 minutes

These are the steps the LeadMCP app shows on its Connect page. You need no API key and no config file.

    Open Settings → Connectors

    In Claude, click Add, then Add custom connector.

    Name it LeadMCP and paste the server URL

    Then click Continue.

    Keep the detected options

    Authentication: Sign in now. OAuth client: Register automatically.

    Add no headers, click Add, then Connect

    The connector appears as not connected yet. Click Connect. A LeadMCP tab opens: click Approve.

    Finish in Claude

    If Claude asks "Finish connecting a connector?", click Continue connecting. Then enable LeadMCP in a chat and ask Claude to find leads.

Try these prompts

Type them as they are. Each one shows the tool the agent calls and what it costs. Counts are always free.

  • How many VPs of Sales are there at US software companies with 51 to 500 people?

    count_matches free

    Claude sets countries, functions, seniority, company_size and industries, then counts. It reads the exact industry value with get_values first. The count is exact and free.

  • Show me 25 of them, only people with a work email and a phone number.

    find_contacts contact credits

    Claude adds has_work_email and has_phone and reads one page of 25 rows. Each row holds the work email and the phone. Each returned contact costs one contact credit.

  • Leave out our customers. Here are their domains.

    count_matches free

    Claude puts the domains in exclude_domains, up to 1,000 of them, and counts again for free. Nobody at those companies comes back in a search or an export.

  • Export the whole list as a CSV.

    Claude starts an export job and checks it with get_export. You get a download link that works for 7 days. A file holds up to 50,000 rows, and each exported contact costs one contact credit.

    Claude sends the URLs to enrich_contact, up to 100 in one call. Each stored match costs one contact credit. A miss costs nothing.
